Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Tripzuu (“the Service”), operated by JetStream Labs, handles information when you create an account and plan trips.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the Service:
- Account: email address and a hashed password (we do not store your password in plain text).
- Optional profile prefs: display name, country, timezone, currency, and distance units.
- Trip content you enter: itinerary items, notes, packing lists, costs, places, attachments you upload, and share-link settings.
- Technical basics: session data needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (e.g. errors) to keep the Service working.
What we do not collect
- No credit card or payment card details — we do not ask for or store card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not require government ID, passport numbers, or similar sensitive identity documents to use the Service.
If you paste sensitive details into trip notes or upload them as attachments, that is your choice — please avoid storing payment cards, passwords for other services, or unnecessary personal data in the Service.
How we use your information
We do not sell your information, and we do not share your information with anybody.
- To create and secure your account
- To store and display your trips and related features (map, share links, email itinerary, exports)
- To honour your preferences (currency, distance units, timezone)
- To send service-related messages you enable (for example share notices), if applicable
- To maintain, debug, and improve the Service
How we try to protect your data
We take reasonable steps to protect information entrusted to the Service, including:
- Passwords stored using industry-standard hashing
- Access controls so trips are limited to your account (and people you deliberately share with)
- Uploaded files served through authenticated endpoints, not as open public folders
- Optional account security features such as two-factor authentication where available
- HTTPS when the hosting environment provides it
No system is perfectly secure. We will try to protect your data using reasonable measures, but we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, hardware failure, or other breaches will never occur. By using the Service you acknowledge that risk.
Sharing
Your trips stay private to your account unless you invite someone by email or email an itinerary. Invites are sent to a specific email address; that person must sign in to Tripzuu with the same address to open the trip (and enter a password if you set one). Revoke invites you no longer want active.
We may use standard hosting, email, or infrastructure providers to operate the Service. We do not sell your data to advertisers.
Retention & deletion
We keep your account and trip data while your account remains active. You can delete trips and attachments from within the Service. If you want your account removed, contact us using the details below and we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify account data, subject to backups and legal obligations.
Children
The Service is intended for adults planning travel. Do not create an account for a child where local law requires parental consent you cannot provide.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
